Academic Overview


Our middle school program provides a rigorous, faith-centered education that prepares students for academic excellence while nurturing their spiritual growth. Through carefully selected curricula and dedicated instruction, we challenge students to think critically, grow in their faith, and develop the skills necessary for success in high school and beyond.


Core Curriculum

Theology  - Our theology program integrates Catechism instruction with Bible study, building a strong foundation in Catholic doctrine and Scripture. The program includes **6th grade Confirmation preparation**, helping students deepen their faith and prepare for this important sacrament.

  • 6th Grade - Old Testament
  • 7th Grade - New Testament/Mystery of Christ
  • 8th Grade - The Story of our Church/Life in Christ Jesus


Mathematics - Using the Envision program, students develop problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning through real-world applications. We offer an **advanced math track** for students ready for accelerated learning, ensuring appropriate challenge and support for all learners.


History  - Our Core Knowledge curriculum provides a structured, chronological approach to world civilizations and American history. Students build cultural literacy and critical thinking skills while exploring connections between past and present.

  • 6th Grade - Ancient World History
  • 7th Grade - Early American to Civil War
  • 8th Grade - Reconstruction to Modern


English Language Arts - The Voyages curriculum develops strong communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students focus on grammar, vocabulary, composition, and critical analysis to express themselves clearly and persuasively.


Literature  - Leveled Novel Studies ensure every student reads at their appropriate level while exploring meaningful literature. Students engage with classic and contemporary works through guided discussion and analytical writing.


Science - Our three-year science sequence provides a comprehensive foundation:

  • 6th Grade: Earth Science - Geology, meteorology, astronomy, and environmental science
  • 7th Grade: Life Science - Biology, ecology, and human body systems 
  • 8th Grade: Physical Science - Chemistry and physics principles, matter and energy
