Academic Support Resources

Academic Support
At St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full academic potential. Our Academic Support Resource program provides specialized instruction and small group attention to students who need additional support in reading and math. Due to the specialized nature of our resource support, availability is limited and a maximum number of students in each grade can receive these resources.
Services Offered:
Math Support
- Targeted instruction in mathematical concepts and problem-solving
- Support with foundational math skills and grade-level curriculum
- Accommodations for students with mild learning needs based on test scores teacher recommendation.
Reading Support
- Individualized reading instruction tailored to each student's needs
- Dyslexia intervention through the Take Flight program
- Phonics, fluency, and comprehension strategies
- Support for students with mild learning differences
Collaborative Approach
We believe that successful academic support requires a team effort. Our resource teachers work closely with:
- Parents - To ensure consistency between home and school
- Classroom Teachers - To align support with grade-level expectations
- Resource Team - To coordinate comprehensive care
Together, this partnership allows us to create individualized learning plans that address each student's specific needs and learning style.
Program Structure
To ensure quality instruction and personalized attention, we maintain small class sizes with limited availability for students needing resource services. This allows our teachers to provide the focused, individualized instruction that makes a meaningful difference in student achievement.
